Saint Paul Skyway

January 11, 2021 Nathaniel Barber

Too cold to get outside in the winter? Head to Saint Paul’s skyways.

Stepping into the Saint Paul Skyways is like stepping into another dimension. They are both weird and boring, and haunting and majestic, built for bustle and crowds, and also totally empty (thanks COVID).

My daughter and I have been visiting the Skyway after I get off work. I bring her scooter so she can scoot around. Since the place is all but deserted, it’s a safe place to let her run around while I set up a tripod and get some pictures.

I look forward to seeing what the Skyway (and the rest of Saint Paul) is like after the lockdown.
